Common FAQ's

The Badgy app is an essential tool for businesses looking to draw attention to special or new offers on their products. By using customizable product badges, it effectively highlights key promotions or deals, making them stand out to customers. This helps increase product visibility, enhancing the overall reputation of the store and encouraging purchases.

Customers naturally gravitate toward the highlighted offers, which increase their interest and engagement with the product. The eye-catching badges make the store more attractive, boosting sales by guiding customers toward items marked with special promotions or offers.

Badges can appear on both the collection and product pages, or on either of these pages.

You can display both normal and animated badges on your store. Supported file formats include JPG, PNG, GIF, and Lottie animated files. Additionally, you can upload separate badge images for Collection and Product pages, and access a collection of sample badge files for quick use.

Badges can be displayed in your store for various purposes, including showing:

  • On Sale / Discounted Product badges
  • Limited Stock / Out of Stock Product badges
  • New Product badges
  • Percentage Save or Amount Save
  • Product Quantity / SKU
  • Price Range badges
  • Dynamic text in badges etc.
  • Additionally, badges can be used for many other purposes within the store.

We provide the updated version to those who are already using our app. We send notifications of app updates by email or other means.

In most cases, our app can work with other extensions/themes. If there is a conflict, we will do our best to help you resolve it.

To create a brand-new badge for your products, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Product Badges Section.
  2. Click on + Add New Badge
    • A form will appear where you can input badge details.
  1. Fill Out the Badge Form:
    • Badge Name: Enter your desired badge name (e.g., Big Sale).
    • Badge Image: Select or upload an image for the badge.
    • Collection: Choose the product collection where the badge will be applied.
  1. Save the Badge
    • Click Save to apply your changes.
  1. Preview the Badge
    • Visit the frontend to check how the badge appears on the selected products.

To enable a specific badge (e.g., Sold Out), follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Product Badges
    • Go to the Product Badges > Badges List section in your dashboard.
    • Locate the badge you want to activate — in this case, the Sold Out
  1. Edit the Badge
    • Click the Edit option for the selected badge.
  1. Activate the Badge
    • Toggle the Badge Active switch to turn the badge on.
  1. Set Stock Condition
    • Scroll to the Stock Condition section at the bottom.
    • Ensure the option Show badge if stock not available is selected.
  • Save and Preview
    • Click Update, and then visit the frontend to confirm that the badge appears on out-of-stock products.

To activate the New Product badge from the Badges List, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Product Badges: Go to the Product Badges > Badges List section in your dashboard.
  2. Edit New Badge: Find the New badge in the list and click the Edit
  3. Activate the Badge: Toggle the Badge Active switch to enable the badge.
  1. Set the New Product Condition:
    • Scroll to the New Product Badge Condition
    • In the Product Published Date option, ensure Within date range is selected.
    • By default, the app considers products published within the last 90 days as New.
    • You can adjust this setting as needed.
  1. Ensure Product Eligibility
    • Make sure the products you want to show as New have been published within the selected timeframe (e.g., last 90 days).
    • Both the app condition and the product publish date must align for the badge to appear.
  1. Save and Preview: Click Update, and then check the frontend to confirm the badge displays correctly on eligible products.

To activate the Save Amount badge from the Badges List, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Product Badges: Go to the Product Badges > Badges List section in your dashboard.
  1. Edit the Save Amount Badge: Locate the Save Amount badge and click the Edit
  1. Activate the Badge: Enable the badge by toggling the Badge Active
  1. Set Collection Condition
    • Scroll to the Badge Collection Condition
    • Select the Sale product items Collection.
  1. Save and Preview: Click Update, and then visit the frontend to check the badge on products in the Sale Collection.
